Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Nusron Wahid handed over 1,334 land certificates to the community throughout Banten Province on Friday (12/20/2024).
At this moment, Minister Nusron handed over 12 certificates directly to the recipient representatives.
He also stated his commitment to improving the certification of waqf land, be it mosques, prayer rooms, Islamic boarding schools, and other places of worship.
“The most important thing is that the waqf certificates are immediately improved because this waqf is an asset of the people, it must be saved.
Therefore, I have ordered the Head of the Regional Office and the Head of the Kantah, one part of the office’s performance is to accelerate and increase the certification of waqf land, free of charge!” said Nusron Wahid.
After handing over the certificate at the Al-Bantani Grand Mosque located in the Banten Provincial Government Office Center (KP3B), Serang City, Banten Province.
As an effort to accelerate the certification of waqf land, Minister Nusron is working with various parties, including the provincial government, district/city governments, and religious organizations spread across Indonesia.
In this regard, he appealed to the elected Governor of Banten to form a waqf assistance team in the future so that the waqf land certification process can run more optimally.
“So that those who are not used to taking care of waqf come to Kantah and are accompanied and can be fast so that in the future, the congregation can be calm that their mosque is safe and not stolen by people.
Don’t let any mosques, prayer rooms, madrasahs, Islamic boarding schools have their land stolen by toll roads, by developers, by housing, because that is the congregation’s jariah so it must be maintained,” explained Nusron Wahid.
He also appealed to the administrators of religious organizations who were present to help socialize the waqf land certification acceleration program.
“On behalf of the Ministry of ATR/BPN, we ask for prayers and assistance from all of you, please disseminate this.
To jointly help accelerate the waqf certification process in each institution for the sake of future security,” said the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN.
The handover of certificates took place online and offline, where 1,009 certificates were distributed directly at the Al-Bantani Grand Mosque located in KP3B, Serang City, Banten Province.
While 325 other certificates were handed over separately in Tangerang Regency, Tangerang City, and South Tangerang City.
The certificates handed over this time are the results of several programs of the Ministry of ATR/BPN. These programs include the Land Redistribution program, Certification of Houses of Worship or Waqf.
Certification of State/Regional Assets (BMN/D), Cross-Sector programs, and the Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) program.
Present to accompany the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN, a number of Senior and Pratama Officials of the Ministry of ATR/BPN; and the Head of the Banten Province BPN Regional Office and staff.
Also present were the elected Governor of Banten; Acting Regional Secretary of Banten Province; and the ranks of the Banten Forkopimda.
