Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) received an audience from the World Bank in the Ministerial Meeting Room on Thursday (29/08/2024).
In this meeting, plans for cooperation between the Indonesian government and the World Bank were discussed.
To make the Integrated Land Administration and Spatial Planning (ILASP) program a success.
“I think there will be continuity in many areas (in the ILASP program, ed).
“The next president, especially in the Agrarian Reform agenda, will prioritize urban planning and spatial planning,” said Minister AHY.
Cooperation between the Indonesian Government, especially the Ministry of ATR/BPN, and the World Bank is deemed necessary to continue.
This is because previous collaboration between the two parties has succeeded in producing significant land registration achievements in Indonesia.
With this achievement, Minister AHY also appreciated the World Bank.
“We appreciate the World Bank for its support to accelerate the Agrarian Reform program.
Especially land registration, this is a significant progress. Thanks to support from the World Bank.
“This participatory mapping through PTSL (Complete Systematic Land Registration, ed.) achieved very significant results, namely 8.8 million plots of the target of 7 million plots of land,” said Minister AHY.
With the collaboration that will be carried out, Minister AHY hopes that the ILASP program can run well.
This includes achievements related to the Detailed Spatial Planning Plan (RDTR) which has an impact on increasing investors and economic growth in Indonesia.
“We will improve our communication, we want to achieve more advanced and more detailed spatial planning (RDTR, ed), to increase certainty for investors,” said Minister AHY.
World Bank Country Director for Indonesia, Carolyn Turk welcomed the cooperation plans in the ILASP program. For this matter.
He said he was still in the negotiation stage with the Ministry of Finance regarding the loan that would be used to make the ILASP program a success.
However, he hopes to support programs in the field of land and spatial planning for the progress of the Indonesian nation.
