The story of Kombes Pol John Mantiri is very inspiring for many people, he comes from a family of the Indonesian National Army (TNI) Air Force but because he was impressed with the former Chief of Police, General Hoegeng Iman Santoso, he registered as a police officer.

“General Hoegeng is my role model because he is honest, disciplined and has character, so he finally chose the Police Academy (Akpol),” said John Mantiri in Jakarta, Monday.

Jhon said these values became his guidelines while carrying out his duties as a member of the police.

Jhon graduated from Akpol in 1997 and began his career as a Platoon Commander (Danton) of the Mobile Brigade (Brimob) in 1998 at the Papua Police.

After that he served as the Abepura, Curug and Cisarua Police Chief until he became the Deputy Chief of Sumedang Police, West Java Police.

He said that the mandate in the Brimob Unit as the Head of the Brimob Instructor Coordinator at the Command Headquarters was a lot of experience and preparation to carry out greater duties.

Jhon Mantiri was born in Manado, North Sulawesi, July 17, 1975, but from 2021 to early 2025 he served at the Constitutional Court (MK) in Jakarta.

He did not expect to get a relatively long assignment at the MK because there were still many other police officers who were smarter and younger, the son of Kawanua accepted the mandate with full responsibility.

While carrying out his duties at the MK, John was easily met and always friendly with the media crew and actively greeted fellow journalists who covered the MK.

He received a lot of input and work experience while at the MK, especially meeting and interacting with state officials and important officials.

“That experience was very valuable for me, I learned a lot about maintaining security at the MK,” he said.

However, currently Kombes John is no longer on duty at the MK because he has been entrusted to continue his education in order to support his next career.

While carrying out his duties, John believes that devotion to the nation and state does not stop even though the position changes in order to make a real contribution to society.
