Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) gave a public lecture in a series of Dies Natalis activities of Padjadjaran University (UNPAD) on Thursday (19/9/2024).

In front of UNPAD students, he explained about the Electronic Land Certificate which is being promoted by the Ministry of ATR/BPN.

“In the last seven months, the increase in production of Electronic Land Certificates has reached 46 times and almost all Land Offices throughout Indonesia have been able to carry out electronic administration including electronic certification,” said the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN in his public lecture.

For information, Electronic Land Certificates have been implemented in a number of countries. With the implementation of Electronic Land Certificates, it can be said that land management in Indonesia has met world standards and is on par with other countries.

This is in accordance with the vision and mission of the Ministry of ATR/BPN to become a world-class institution.

With Electronic Land Certificates, there are many benefits that can be felt by the community, including minimizing the risk of loss, burning, theft, and damage due to natural disasters.

In addition, Electronic Land Certificates are not easily duplicated so that they can narrow the space for land mafia to move.

“With Electronic Land Certificates it is easier, more transparent, more accountable, better for the community,” continued Minister AHY.

The Minister of ATR/Head of BPN did not deny that so far the electronic services provided by the ranks of the Ministry of ATR/BPN have not been completely perfect.

For this reason, he appealed to the participants of the public lecture to be able to participate in the improvement and enhancement of electronic land services in Indonesia.

“Please provide input to us through the Regional Office and Regional Office, so that if there is anything that can be improved.

We are very open and can sit together to make improvements,” said Minister AHY to the students.

Plt. UNPAD Rector, Arief S. Kartasasmita said that the presence of the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN at UNPAD was a valuable opportunity for the students who attended.

“This opportunity is knowledge that we get directly from people who do have the authority to make policies regarding land.

Because in reality our students on campus must be enlightened that not all existing theories can be in accordance with conditions in the field,” he explained.

The public lecture was moderated by a lecturer from the Faculty of Law, UNPAD, Nia Kurniawati.

Also present at this activity were members of Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Anton Sukartono Suratto, and the ranks of the UNPAD academic community.

Accompanying the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN, Special Staff for Internal Management Agust Jovan Latuconsina Expert Staff for Bureaucratic Reform, Deni Santo, a number of Expert Staff of the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN.
