The Corruption Eradication Committee of the National Police will conduct an investigation into the complaint of PPWI to the Jakarta National Police, and when it was handled by the general chairman and his attorney, Wednesday (28/08).
This alleged case will be handled by the investigators.
The investigators began working after receiving an investigator’s order from their superiors.
The plan is to start investigating around next Monday.
The Corruption Eradication Committee of the National Police Promises to Investigate the Alleged Corruption Case of Hendry Ch Bangun Cs and BUMN, now the investigation stage will begin on Monday, (02/09).
According to information, the investigators of the Corruption Crime Directorate of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Republic of Indonesia Police (Dittipikor Bareskrim Polri).
AKBP. H. Yusami, S.I.K., M.I.K., said that his party will thoroughly investigate the alleged bribery, corruption, and/or embezzlement of BUMN grant funds carried out by the former central administrator of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI), Hendry Ch. Bangun et al.
This was stated by the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Citizen Journalists Association (Ketum PPWI), Wilson Lalengke, S.Pd, M.Sc, MA, to reporters after attending an invitation from the Director of Corruption Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Monday, August 26, 2024.
“Earlier, together with PPWI’s legal advisor, Advocate Dolfie Rompas, I met with the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit Corruption Crimes investigator and submitted additional evidence needed to follow up on the alleged misappropriation of BUMN grant funds.
Wulson said that there were allegations involving the former central administrator of PWI, Hendry Ch Bangun, Sayid Iskandarsyah, Muhammad Ihsan, and Syarief Hidayatullah.
Furthermore, investigators promised to seriously investigate this case until it is finished,” explained the national journalist who is an alumnus of PPRA-48 Lemhannas RI in 2012.
Wilson Lalengke then added that the Dittipikor will coordinate with the Corruption Eradication Commission of the Republic of Indonesia (KPK RI).
So that there is no overlap, first so that the handling of this case is not two files with the same investigator.
“We reported this alleged corruption case of public money to the KPK and copied it to the Chief of Police, the Attorney General’s Office, and hundreds of other agencies including the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
Until all Forkopimda throughout Indonesia, there will be suspicions of involvement.
Because of the problem of signing the disbursement of the APBN budget and being positioned to a famous person during the disbursement.
So, earlier it was conveyed by the investigators that they need to coordinate with the KPK so that the handling of the case is clear and does not overlap,” added the Ketum PPWI who was the reporter of this case to the KPK several months ago.
Meanwhile, Advocate Dolfie Rompas, S.Sos, S.H., M.H. who accompanied the PPWI General Chairperson when providing complete evidence to the Dittipikor Bareskrim Polri, data and documents.
He promised to expedite this case to be named a suspect.
At least, he added that his party really hopes that the complaint from PPWI will be followed up, purely.
“Whoever handles the case, whether the KPK or the Polri, we really hope that this complaint will be followed up.
Because this is the APBN budget, it does not just stop at the complaint process.
PPWI certainly wants to know the process and resolution of the complaint related to the alleged bribery and corruption involving certain PWI central administrators,” said Dolfie Rompas who is one of the top national advocates.
Other journalist organizations should not try to defend themselves, let the Polri Tipikor work according to their SOP.
“There should be no one defending in this alleged case, because the misappropriation must be processed legally according to the rules of the Corruption Law,” he said.
