Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) made a new breakthrough in realizing the arrangement of slum areas in Indonesia.
The arrangement of this area is implemented through the House Improvement and Vertical Land Consolidation program for Cinta Damai Flats located in Tanah Tinggi Village, Johar Baru District, Central Jakarta, which was inaugurated on Friday (09/27/2024).
“Of course, with this we hope to be able to slightly reduce the problem of residential housing backlogs and also the slums and density of residents faced every day.
Congratulations and thank you to everyone,” said the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN in his remarks.
The House Improvement and Vertical Land Consolidation Program, said Minister AHY, is a program to improve residents’ houses that are categorized as slums.
“If we saw the photo before it was repaired, it was indeed very disturbing, but this is the problem and challenge faced by Jakarta, other big cities and densely populated cities,” said Minister AHY.

Among them are the Ministry of ATR/BPN, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, and the Indonesian Buddha Tzu Chi Foundation.
“I congratulate and express my deepest gratitude to all parties, both the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, the Indonesian Buddha Tzu Chi Foundation who have collaborated to make the residents here live better,” said Minister AHY.
“Hopefully this will receive blessings from God and this is the second in Jakarta, previously in Palmerah.
In Indonesia, the first in Jakarta is the Vertical Land Consolidation scheme managed by the Ministry of ATR/BPN, including getting CSR support and other budget support that can present this better building.
Hopefully it can inspire other places,” concluded Minister AHY.
For information, the settlement arrangement through Vertical Land Consolidation this time was established on a 108 m2 plot of land inhabited by eight families.
The results of the arrangement are in the form of a 4-story flat house with 12 residential units and the issuance of land rights in the form of 1 Joint HGB Certificate, 2 Rights of Use.
For the environmental road which is the result of land donations for development from the community participating in the Vertical Land Consolidation, an area of 4 m2, and 12 SHM Sarusun with an area of 18 m2 each.
