Starting the series of International Meetings on Best Practices of Ulayat Land Registration in Indonesia and ASEAN Countries, the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) inaugurated the Ulayat Land Exhibition held at The Trans Luxury Hotel, Bandung, Wednesday (04/09/2024).
“We are all looking at the exhibition or exhibition from stakeholders to unite our vision and enthusiasm to make the ulayat land registration program in Indonesia and also in ASEAN countries a success,” said Minister AHY in his remarks.
The exhibition, which lasted for four days, was attended by a number of representatives of the Customary Law Community. Some of them are representatives of the Baduy Customary Law Community, Kampung Naga, Dayak Iban Sungai Itik, Dayak Menua Kulan, Dayak Sami, Kerapatan Adat Nagari (KAN) Tanjung Bonai, Mukim Siem, Mukim Seulimeum, Kota Sungai Penuh, and Desa Adat Asah Duren.
It is hoped that this moment will be an opportunity for the Customary Law Community in Indonesia to be able to show the cultural diversity that they have.
This is also a means for the Ministry of ATR/BPN in each region to synergize and collaborate with various parties to be able to help socialize and assist in the implementation of the registration of their customary land.
After inaugurating the exhibition, Minister AHY reviewed the exhibition stands from each region. He was also greeted enthusiastically by cultural performances from the Baduy Tribe to Papua.

The exhibition review was ended by Minister AHY by signing a painting which is the cover of the book “Today’s Ulayat Land Stories” written by the Directorate General of Land Rights Determination and Registration (Ditjen PHPT) team.
Present on this occasion were a number of Senior High-Level and Pratama Officials of the Ministry of ATR/BPN. Also present were representatives of the Ambassadors of ASEAN countries to Indonesia, Foreign Land Institutions throughout Southeast Asia, among others.
Representatives of the National Committee of Indigenous People (NCIP) of the Philippines, representatives of the Department of Agriculture Land Management (DALAM) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Laos, representatives of CSOs, representatives of the Office of the National Land Policy Board of Thailand and representatives of the Department of Land Thailand.
